Rod Stuart Latest Celebrity to Join the Leaving LA Trend

( – According to a Breitbart report, British rock and pop legend Rod Stewart has officially become the latest celebrity that is seeking to flee Los Angeles, as he recently relisted his mansion with a $10 million price increase. Stewart has said on several occasions he’s fed up with the Democratic-run city’s “toxic culture.”

While the 78-year-old singer of Baby Jane or Downtown Train initially listed his Los Angeles mansion for $70 million back in June, he decided to increase the price to $80 million in the new listing. As reported by the Daily Mail, he sought to return to England’s capital, London, a couple of weeks after listing his mansion. The British tabloid said that the main reason was that Stewart was “sick and tired” of the current culture in Los Angeles.

Different reports pointed out that Stewart bought the property back in 1991 for $12 million before having the current nine-bedroom and 12-bathroom mansion that famous architect Richard Landry constructed for him. Stewart’s mansion includes a marble-floored speakeasy, a double-gated entry, a dining room, a tea room, two gyms, a 4,600 square-foot guesthouse, Corinthian columns, herringbone floors, medallions, and ceiling moldings.

The rock and pop legend’s mansion also has three landscaped acres, a soccer field, a hot tub, a swimming pool, numerous sculptures, and a long driveway to the main house. Some of the residents that live in his neighborhood include Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington, Grammy-winning singer Adele, MLB legend Barry Bonds, and Pop superstar Justin Bieber.

With the move, Stewart is joining a large group of celebrities and superstars who are also leaving Los Angeles. One of these is Hollywood famous actress Angela Jolie, who said in December she was tired of living in the so-called City of Angels and was planning to relocate somewhere else. She declared that she took the decision because she realized that Hollywood isn’t “a healthy place.”

Other superstars and celebrities who left California or are planning to do it include legendary Superman actor Dean Cain and even Sylvester Stallone and his wife.
