Hunter Biden Drops Lawsuit Against FOX News

(WatchDogReport.org) – On July 21, Hunter Biden reversed course on his legal action against Fox News, just a couple of hours after US President The commander-in-chief’s son dropped the lawsuit he formally filed in June against the conservative network over the fictionalized miniseries The Trial of Hunter Biden. They added that the specific reason why he took legal action was because of some sexually explicit photos and videos Fox News showed in the miniseries without his consent.

The miniseries was included on the Fox Nation streaming service, and it focused on the numerous legal issues that Hunter Biden had been dealing with over the last few years. The miniseries, which had six episodes and many considered to be successful in terms of views, included his tax affairs and handgun case.

While the conservative network decided to remove it from each of its platforms in April 2023, after Hunter Biden threatened to take legal action, the president’s son sued Fox News on June 30. At that moment, a network’s spokesman claimed that Hunter Biden’s lawsuit was not only “meritless” but also politically motivated. He added that Fox News wasn’t afraid of the lawsuit and was looking forward to vindicating their rights in court.

In the lawsuit, Hunter Biden alleged that the miniseries manipulated the facts about his legal issues and distorted “the truth” while showing photos of him naked or engaging in sexual intercourse. Meanwhile, another Fox News spokesperson told some media outlets in a statement that the “core complaint” stemmed from a streaming program that Hunter Biden only complained about two years later in a letter.

Hunter Biden was officially convicted on federal gun charges in June. However, he hasn’t been charged with any crime connected with foreign lobbying or bribery, which were two of the main allegations against the president’s son that Fox News focused on its miniseries.
