(WatchDogReport.org) – Former US Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton scolded US voters on March 1 because of their complaint over a likely rematch of the 2020 presidential election, claiming that they should “get over yourselves.” The Democratic leader made her blast during an interview with The Tonight Show. She told host Jimmy Fallon that American voters needed to accept that US President Joe Biden and former president and presidential nominee Donald Trump would end up being “the two choices” for the 2024 presidential election.
When asked about her thoughts on the two presidential nominees, Clinton described President Biden as “old,” “compassionate,” and an “effective” leader who cares about the United States and has shown “heart.” Meanwhile, she said that Trump is nothing more than an “old” leader who has been charged with nearly 100 felonies, adding that she cannot understand how anyone would consider this to be a hard choice.
Far from being the first time Clinton has shown her unconditional support for President Biden’s re-election, the truth is that the former Secretary of State has been claiming that the former vice president had to be the party’s nominee for months. Numerous reports even revealed that Clinton was teaming up with actor and songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda to create a Broadway-themed fundraiser to support the president’s reelection campaign.
As reported by Deadline, the Democratic leader and the actor will host the fundraiser in New York City, with tickets priced at $500 and even at $5,000. The media outlet said that the proceeds will directly go to the Women’s Leadership Forum and the Biden Victory Fund. The fundraiser will include a performance from Clinton’s Suffs show, which is a Broadway musical about the feminist suffragette movement in the United States. The show features a cast that is all women and performers who identify themselves as “non-binary.”
While many polls show that the presidential election will be extremely close, many surveys say that Trump is the favorite.
