Damning Video Catches Nancy Pelosi in Shocking Admission

(WatchDogReport.org) – Former House Speaker and California Democrat Nancy Pelosi admitted in a video that went viral on June 11 that she was responsible for the US National Guard not being prepared to deal with the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. Some Republicans have claimed that the video clearly undermines the numerous claims from Democratic leaders that former President Donald Trump was the main one responsible for how security failed that day.

In the video, which was recorded by Pelosi’s daughter Alexandria during the riot, the pair can be seen escaping as the former speaker suddenly asked why wasn’t the National Guard wasn’t at the scene. Seconds later, Pelosi can be heard telling her Chief of Staff Terri McCullough that the National Guard “clearly” didn’t know and saying that she takes full “responsibility for not having them prepared for more.”

In another part of the footage, Pelosi can be seen in the back seat of a fast-moving vehicle driving through the Capitol parking garage while the riot was happening. The Democratic leader can be heard complaining about the way the riot escalated and telling McCullough it was “ridiculous” for him to ask if they should call the National Guard when rioters had already entered the building.

The video was published by GOP representatives leading the Congress Administration’s Oversight Subcommittee. On his Twitter account, Georgia Republican Congressman and subcommittee chairman Barry Loudermilk claimed that what Pelosi has been doing over the last few years has been chasing a false political narrative. He added that her now-defunct “J6 Select Committee” spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer’s money to use “Hollywood producers” for their probes on the riots, and claimed that her admission in the video contradicts her narrative.

Some political commentators said on social media that the video seems to vindicate Trump, as he has repeatedly said that Pelosi was the main responsible for what happened during the riots as she failed to provide proper security.
