(WatchDogReport.org) – A woman in Kentucky was killed by her brother in a shootout after slaying both her husband and sister in a shooting rampage, according to police.
The suspect, 56-year-old Angela Gosser, allegedly drove to her brother’s home in Jamestown with a gun on her person on May 3 and proceeded to force her way into his home. Her 58-year-old brother, Darryl Wilson, was reportedly home at the time and also in possession of a firearm. Police stated that in the shootout, Gosser was killed, and Wilson was injured, resulting in him being sent to hospital with potentially fatal injuries.
The full extent of Gosser’s violent rampage only became apparent when authorities visited the home of Jennifer Wilson, Gosser’s sister, for a welfare check. A press release said that Wilson’s relatives were worried about her wellbeing and could not contact her. When they arrived at the property, law enforcement discovered Wilson in a Toyota Camry’s driver seat with several gunshots to the head. Police believe that Gosser shot her sister multiple times through the passenger’s side, leaving her for dead before the shootout with her brother occurred.
The Pulaski County sheriff’s officials also revealed that Gosser’s husband, 73-year-old Larry V. Gosser, was found that same evening with a fatal gunshot wound from a separate shooting. Officials reported that Larry was the first to be shot by Gosser during the evening of May 2. The investigation began at roughly 6:30 P.M. when the sheriff’s office was informed of a shooting incident on Brown Ridge Road. When the deputies arrived, they found Larry lying beside the road.
Pulaski County officials released a statement saying that Sheriff Bobby Jones wanted residents to know that there was no further risk to the public relating to the shooting. Darryl is currently not facing any charges relating to the incident and is receiving treatment at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Police have not yet managed to establish a motive for the shootings, and the investigation is ongoing.
