White House Will NOT Invite World Leader

(WatchDogReport.org) – President Biden is attempting to add political pressure on the right-wing government of Israel, according to The Daily Wire. When asked if he would invite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden responded that that would not happen in the “near term.”

Biden’s comments come as Netanyahu is undergoing efforts to reform Israel’s judicial system and balance out the three branches of government in a similar vein to the United States. But Biden has come out against such efforts, saying he is concerned.

“Like many strong supporters of Israel, I’m very concerned, and I’m concerned that they get this straight. They cannot continue down this road…Hopefully, the prime minister will act in a way that he can try to work out some genuine compromise.”

The prime minister pushed back against Biden and said that he will not be bullied by him for trying to make his country’s democracy stronger. He added that he will not be pressured to act according to the wishes of foreign nations, even those who are best friends like the U.S.

Biden reportedly suggested that American Jews have the same position as he does regarding the right-wing government of Israel. Still, religious Jews in the U.S. are more to the right contrasted with their secular counterparts, according to The Daily Wire.

The news comes as the relationship between the two leaders appears to be strained. As soon as the left-wing Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva won the hotly contested election in Brazil, Biden called him to congratulate him; however, Netanyahu did not receive a phone call for days.

The hostility toward Israel goes back 40 years ago when Biden was a senator, banging his fists on the desk as he demanded that Israel stop establishing new settlements.
