US Troops Rushed to Hospital in DC

( – For two months, National Guard troops have been stationed in Washington, DC, as if they’re in some kind of war zone. Their treatment, while they have been there, has not been great. In fact, it’s been so bad, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) called his soldiers home in January. He said they aren’t Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) “servants.”

Now, more poor treatment has been uncovered.

On March 1, Detroit’s ABC 7 reported a whistleblower contacted them to reveal the problems troops in DC are facing with their food. According to the unnamed staff sergeant with the Michigan National Guard, they had to throw more than 70 meals away because of metal shavings in the food and undercooked meat on February 28. The issues caused some troops to fall ill and end up in the hospital.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) contacted Acting Secretary of the Army John E. Whitley about the problem. Other lawmakers in the state are also pressing the federal government to fix it. In the meantime, the anonymous soldier said they’re being forced to eat MREs.

Isn’t it time to just bring these soldiers home where they’re treated with the dignity they deserve?
