US Claims Russia Executed Surrendering Ukrainians

Russian MURDER Details Come Out – Sickening Allegations!

(WatchDogReport.org) – The very essence of war is destruction and death. Still, because it seems to be inevitable among human beings, most countries have agreed to a certain set of rules for waging it, known as the Geneva Convention. Among the rules, as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) webpage explains, it’s unlawful “to kill or wound an enemy who… has surrendered….” It appears Russia isn’t playing by the rules.

Since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his military to invade Ukraine, there have been several accusations of war crimes against him and his soldiers. At a recent United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, United States Ambassador-At-Large for Global Criminal Justice Beth Van Schaack said, “we now have credible information that a Russian military unit operating in the vicinity of Donetsk executed Ukrainians who were attempting to surrender.”

The ambassador went on to say that the United States joined 44 other countries to invoke an investigatory process known as (ironically) the Moscow Mechanism, and cited a report released on April 13 from experts alleging Russian illegal activities. These include directly targeting civilians, medical facilities, and forcefully deporting Russian citizens, among others.

President Joe Biden has termed Russia’s actions in Ukraine as an attempt at genocide, and officials have warned everyone from Putin down to the soldiers in the field about possible war crimes prosecutions. They’d best pay attention since the trials of German military members at Nuremberg after World War II established that claiming you were just “following orders” from above is not a defense to the charges.
