(WatchDogReport.org) – In 2019, former President Donald Trump created the Space Force. He believed that future battles are going to be carried out in space, and wanted to make sure the US was ready to face that. However, it seems the new military branch is already trying to play catch-up, according to one of Trump’s former secretaries.
On May 12, the Washington Examiner published an interview, Former Space Force Secretary Heather Wilson said that the Space Force is a “glass house” that was built before stones were invented. She explained that adversaries have seen what the US has done in space, and now they’re developing the “capability to deny” America the “use of space in crisis or war.”

The US is now going to have to work extra hard to ensure it’s prepared for battle. The Space Force will have its own budget, separate from the Air Force, to help put the branch in a good place. Wilson is now worried that President Joe Biden isn’t going to take the issue seriously enough and reduce the funds. The Biden administration is currently working on the new budget. Americans will learn soon enough what the president’s priorities will be.
