Three Supreme Court Judges Were on Bush's Legal Team in 2000

( – It’s becoming increasingly more likely the 2020 election is going to be decided by the courts. President Donald Trump is asking the Supreme Court to stop Pennsylvania from counting the ballots received after November 3. Fortunately, there are three justices on the high court that have personal experience with election disputes.

Chief Justice John Roberts along with Associate Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh all played a role in President George W. Bush’s legal team during the 2000 election.

Democrats will say that means the court is going to tilt toward President Trump. That’s an absurd allegation. First of all, a lot of Republicans were mad at Roberts for ruling against them in a number of cases last year. It’s obvious the chief justice doesn’t have a problem breaking with Conservatives. Additionally, the justices swore an oath to be impartial and there’s no reason to suspect they will break their commitment to the Constitution.

What it really means is the justices are experts whose experience will lend credibility to the process.
