(WatchDogReport.org) – The pandemic has been raging for more than a year, but there seems to finally be a light at the end of the tunnel. Americans who want to get vaccinated are doing it and states have been getting rid of their coronavirus mandates. The Republican governor of Texas has taken it a step further.
On May 18, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order prohibiting government entities, including school districts, counties, and other agencies from mandating masks as of May 21. The order says public schools can follow the CDC mask guidelines until June 4, but after that, “no student, teacher, parent, or other staff member or visitor can be required to wear a mask while on campus.”
TX is prohibiting mask mandates by gov’t entities.
Starting May 21, local govts attempting to impose mask mandates can be fined up to $1K.
We're also prohibiting public schools from mandating masks after June 4.

Abbott’s new EO would fine entities up to $1,000 if they force people to wear masks. The governor’s decision is one more step toward getting the country back to normal.
