Ron DeSantis Surprises Crowd at Concert
(WatchDogReport.org) – Rock fans got a big surprise last week when one of the nation’s top politicians made a surprise appearance at a concert. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) took the stage at a Lynyrd Skynyrd gig — and the crowd loved it. Some Democrat politicians were probably watching enviously, considering how their own recent public appearances have gone down.

On October 16, rock legend Lynyrd Skynyrd played to a packed house at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. During a break in the show, Governor DeSantis appeared on stage with his wife and children; the stunned crowd fell silent for a moment, then erupted with cheers and chants of “USA! USA!”
It was a sharp contrast to First Lady Jill Biden being booed at a recent Philadelphia Eagles game, even though the mainstream media tried to debunk that, but many reported she was booed. Another case in point was the hostile reception House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) got at last month’s Global Citizen festival.
Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant is a known admirer of DeSantis; in March, the Jacksonville-born singer and his brother Donny released a single, “Sweet Florida,” that openly praises the popular governor. With DeSantis currently holding a solid lead over his Democrat challenger Representative Charlie Crist (D-FL), he should have the chance to appear at plenty more of their shows.
