(WatchDogReport.org) – On November 13, 2022, police believe Bryan Kohberger brutally murdered four University of Idaho students: Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, and Madison Mogen. The suspect was a criminology Ph.D. student who was studying not too far away at Washington State University. More than a month later, on December 30, police arrested Kohberger for the crime. Authorities have kept a tight lid on the investigation — until now.
On March 2, Fox News reported a Pennsylvania court released a set of documents revealing a list of items seized by police during a search of Kohberger’s parent’s home. Although the suspect allegedly committed the murders across the country, he had traveled with his father to the family home on the east coast, where police arrested him. The unsealed docs showed that authorities recovered a knife, a Glock handgun with magazines, black face masks, and a black hat.
An eyewitness on the night of the murders said she “opened her door” after hearing a noise. She saw a man coming toward her wearing a mask and black clothes.

Police reportedly searched the family home, garage, and shed, looking for evidence. The newly unsealed search warrants revealed that authorities took a car door panel, seat cushions, seatbelt, visor, headrests, both pedals, maps, papers, and a Band-Aid strip. Kohberger’s computer and cellphone were taken for investigation as well.
Although the killer used a knife to murder the students, John Jay College of Criminal Justice professor Michael Alcazar believes the reason police took the Glock in for examination was that the suspect could have had it on him at the time of the murders. If so, the weapon could contain DNA from the victims, or it could have been used in other crimes.
Kohberger is currently residing in a jail cell in Moscow, Idaho, charged with four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary. According to Fox News, he is due in court at the end of June.
