(WatchDogReport.org) – Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act has been under scrutiny lately as Big Tech continues to censor Conservatives. Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) is now trying to do something about it.
On October 21, Loeffler introduced a bill to limit the protections afforded to technology companies. The senator’s legislation, the Stop Suppressing Speech Act of 2020, will change the language of Section 230 to preserve free speech. Instead of reading “or other objectionable” material, it will say material that’s “unlawful, or that promotes violence or terrorism.”
For too long, Big Tech has hidden behind vague Section 230 protections while censoring conservative speech.
That’s why I intro'd the Stop Suppressing Speech Act to hold Silicon Valley to the same standards – & liabilities – as every other American.

Conservatives believe Big Tech has been censoring them and President Donald Trump unfairly. Lately, it’s reached a fever pitch and many believe social media sites are interfering in the 2020 election. If passed, Loeffler’s bill will protect the First Amendment for all Americans, no matter their political affiliation.
