(WatchDogReport.org) – America’s armed forces often travel around the world to engage in training exercises with other nations. Recently, an elite US unit joined forces with soldiers from the UK and France to show their strength.
According to December 6 reports, the countries took part in a joint training exercise called “Exercise Wessex Storm.” The US Army’s 2nd Battalion, 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment joined the UK and French troops. It took place in Salisbury Plain, England, and took place from November 2 through December 12. The service members practiced during both the day and night.
Soldiers completed a “live-fire battle run” with machine guns, mortars, and anti-tank weapons.

The Army said the point of the exercise was for the countries to learn more about each other’s “capabilities and tactics” so they’ll be able to work together better on future missions. It would enable the allied forces to create a global response team if a serious threat arises.
