Fatal CAR CRASH – Democratic Senator Involved!

(WatchDogReport.org) – According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin State Senator Janet Bewley (D) was on the phone with one of their interns when she pulled her car into traffic. This allegedly caused an accident that claimed the lives of a young mother and her 5-year-old daughter.

The accident happened as Bewley pulled out of a parking lot to a public beach on Lake Superior in Ashland. Local police told the Ashland Daily Press that the lawmaker drove into the path of Alyssa Ortman, 27, sending her vehicle spinning into the path of another. Ortman’s daughter, Khaleesi Fink, died at the scene. Ortman was transported to the hospital, where she later passed, too.

Police will continue to investigate and will send their findings to the district attorney for review, as with all fatal motor vehicle accidents. The Democrat expressed remorse over the incident, which she said from the start was “not a good accident.” Police said she stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative. Alcohol or drugs don’t appear to have been a factor.

The father of Ortman’s child, Brandon Fink, understandably upset, took to Facebook to chide Bewley for not reaching out to him. “Wonderful people we elect,” the grieving dad said. There’s no word as to whether or not the senator plans to respond.
