(WatchDogReport.org) – The Democratic Party has changed a lot over the last few decades. It has moved further and further to the left with each election. Recently, that movement seems to have accelerated and more centrist members of the party are having a hard time adjusting. Recently, one of those moderates announced he couldn’t take it anymore.
On April 6, North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee announced on “Fox & Friends” that he was switching his party affiliation from Democratic to Republican. He explained there was a recent leadership election in Nevada, and “four of the five people were card-carrying members of the Socialist party.” The mayor said he can’t stand the party anymore and that’s why he has decided to leave.
Today, I switched political parties. The Democratic Party is broken. It’s time to bring people together to get things done. It’s time to stop shouting and start solving problems. pic.twitter.com/PUDf5frc5D

Lee voted for Trump in both of the last presidential elections, so this switch seems to have been a long time coming. In recent years, a number of high-profile Democrats have made the switch, including West Virginia Governor Jim Justice and Rep. Jeff Van Drew. It’s likely that we will see more of this as the radical Left takes over the party.
