Biden Goes Back on “Not Another Foot” Promise, Approves Construction on Border Wall

Biden Breaks ANOTHER Vow To America!

( – When President Joe Biden took office, one of the first things he did was order the immediate halt to former President Donald Trump’s border wall project. Construction stopped, leaving large gaps in a section of the structure in Arizona. Now, Biden is breaking one of his campaign promises and resuming work on the barrier.

While campaigning in 2020, the president told NPR, “there will not be another foot of wall.” It became one of his main talking points. The course reversal became necessary when the four gaps in the unfinished wall became predictable entry points for illegal crossings.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the area around the Morelos Dam, near Yuma, is dangerously close to fast-moving currents from the Colorado river, creating a risk to the lives and safety of migrants and refugees attempting to cross.

Critics were quick to point out the president’s broken pledge. Ryan Fournier, co-founder of Students for Trump, reminded the Twittersphere of the busted promises and hypocrisy of the Biden administration.

At least one Democrat, however, jumped on board with the project, showing support for what most in the party consider a waste of time and money. Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) says the wall project in the area should go forward. Kelly is up for re-election in November.
