Biden Declares Support for Gun Confiscation in SCOTUS Case

(WatchDogReport.org) – One of the concerns Republicans had when Joe Biden was running for president was his disdain for Second Amendment rights. The Democrat was clear that he wanted to limit Americans’ gun rights. The Left currently does not have enough power in the Senate to overcome filibusters, leaving their gun control legislation dead on arrival (for now). However, it seems Biden has figured out another way to potentially infringe on your right to bear arms.

On March 24, the US Supreme Court heard opening arguments in the case of Caniglia v Strom about expanding the community caretaking exception to the Fourth Amendment. The Biden Administration filed a brief supporting this expansion, which would allow law enforcement to invade the homes of private citizens without a warrant. Orin Kerr, a law professor at Berkley, explains more about the case.

The power such a decision would weld could lead to violations of your Second and Fourth Amendment rights by wiping out your ability to be secure in your home and infringing on your right to own firearms. The SCOTUS should issue a ruling on this case this summer.
